Lateral Leg Raises

Lie on your side and raise the top leg out to the side in a controlled motion, primarily working the glute muscles.

How to do the Lateral Leg Raises#

  1. Lie on your side with legs straight and stacked, supporting your head with your lower arm.
  2. Keep your hips aligned and your torso still throughout the movement.
  3. Lift the top leg upward in a controlled arc until you feel the glute engage, then pause briefly.
  4. Lower the leg slowly back to the start position under control.
  5. Complete the prescribed repetitions, then switch sides.
