Plank

Hold a straight, face-down plank on your forearms and toes while keeping the torso aligned; the isometric hold develops the abdominals.

How to do the Plank#

  1. Place your forearms on the floor with elbows directly under your shoulders.
  2. Step your feet back and extend your legs so only your forearms and toes touch the ground.
  3. Raise your body until it forms a straight line from head to heels, keeping your spine neutral.
  4. Engage your core and breathe steadily while maintaining the position for the desired time.
  5. Lower your knees to the floor to exit the hold and rest.
