Seated wide-grip cable pulldown that brings the bar down to the upper chest, primarily working the latissimus dorsi and upper back.

How to do the Wide Grip Lat Pulldown#

  1. Sit on the machine and wedge your thighs under the leg pads to hold your torso steady.
  2. Reach up and take an overhand grip on the bar with your hands placed wider than shoulder width.
  3. Exhale as you pull the bar down to the top of your chest, contracting the muscles of your back.
  4. Hold the position briefly, then control the bar back up until your lats are fully stretched.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
